Name: Bran
Age: 3 Years
Gender: Male
Breed: Arctic Wolf
Size: 30in
Weight: 160lbs
Appearance: Bran's pelt, at first glance, appears to be pure white. However, to make that assumption would be wrong, and make you look quite the fool. His seemingly white coat is peppered lightly all over with gray or black hairs, that as a whole help add to the white appearance, much in the same way that salt makes chocolate taste sweeter. Though it is not often seen, Bran does have a darker 'saddle' that runs down the very center of his back, and the tip of his tail is darker as well. Along with the mixing of white and dark gray hairs, are quite a few cream, eggshell, or off-white colored bits that make their home in his coat as well.
Bran has the typical build of a brute of his species. His muzzle is broad, ending at a blunt black nose rimmed with neat black whiskers. Next to his eyes and the dark spots on his coat, his nose is probably the darkest thing on him. His eyes are well spaced, and though they often appear brown, are quite a fine shade of lemon. They have a knowing look to them, like a wolf that has seen too much, or dealt with more then he thought he could possibly ever handle.
As stated, his build is rather...normal. He is rather large boned, but not too much, just enough to have a masculine appearance. His feet are large, as if he never had the chance to grow into them as a pup, and his claws are worn as if he has been traveling for a while. He does not have any visible scars, though that does not mean he has never been in fights. His coat is as an arctic wolf's pelt should be, fluffy, and dense enough to keep him warm, even in the coldest of winters. Occasionally his back troubles him, but the problems are rare, and never very serious.
Personality: Bran is a wolf who has seen his share of things, probably before his time. However, he hasn't let this hurt him, or turn him into something darker. Instead, he clings to the simple hope that (as Sam Gamgee so wonderfully put it) there is some good left in this world. He is polite and generous, and occasionally very chivalrous. That isn't to say he isn't respectful of femmes on a daily basis, he is, just that sometimes its more obvious then others. Good humored, he is the kind wolf that enjoys listening to others problems, and will always make time for a friend in need.
His nature is, on occasion, so selfless its been known to make others sick. Bran is a wolf who cherishes his friends and packmates above all else, and would willing die or put himself in harms way for them. No questions asked. Because of this annoying trait, he is often roughed up quite badly. This however, doesn't mean he wont fight when it's required of him. Bran will fight back when the need be, especially if in defense of someone he cares for.
However, for all his perfections, Bran is flawed. He has a very short fuse, being prone to frustration and is easily angered. When annoyed, he is likely to either accidentally hurt the object of his annoyance, or seek out something else to destroy, preferably an inanimate object. Only a few times has he hurt a fellow wolf, and those few times, though never severe, would stick in his cranium and haunt him continuously, even after he apologized. Though he tries very hard to stop it, he's been known to snap at wolves when already annoyed, or when they have made a comment he found to be rather stupid.
History: Bran was one of two in the only litter his family had ever managed to have. His father was killed before he could even remember the brute, by hunter's who desired his pelt. His mother was left to raise the two pups, both males, on her own. Bran was the older and bigger of the cubs, and made it his duty to look after his younger brother. Life, for a while, was fine.
Then Bran's mother got sick. They never found out was wrong, but they watched her grow weaker, and get sicker every day. Eventually, Bran went into the den to wake her, and discovered she was gone. Heart-broken, the two pups hung around the den for weeks, wishing, hoping their mother would come back to them.
It wasn't long before their mother's sister and her mate and pack came along to visit, and discovered the corpse. Though the aunt never said anything, it was obvious she blamed the pups for the tragedy. She worked them hard, criticizing them constantly. Their uncle wanted to train them to fight, and would constantly pick on Bran's younger brother. To save his brother the continuous shame, Bran fought and severely injured the uncle, and was exiled from the pack. His younger brother followed him. In anger, Bran yelled at him to get back, that he had done this all for him, and didn't appreciate the whelp making it all for nothing. The pup ran off, tears in his eyes, to return to the pack. Bran started on his way again, but paused when he heard gun shots. In a panic, the brute ran back, retracing his brother's steps. But he never found him, only a few drops of his precious blood and the foot prints of humans.
He hopes to one day run a pack and start a family of his own.
