So, since the original packs have been disbanded, there are three slots up for grabs initially, and there will be many more later (as people meet the requirements for starting packs). Just fill out the form to apply:
Your Name: Activity Level: Why you should get the spot: Sample RP: 400 word minimum, no maximum.
If you get the spot (I'll post back after a week or so saying who wins) you need to fill out the following form:
Pack's Name: The name of your pack Pack's Description: What is this pack like? 2 Paragraph minimum Location: Pick at least 4 squares on the map that are the territory your pack will occupy. Territory: What is there territory like where it is?
It will then be up to the winner to create a ranks page and rules for the pack once their board has been set up.

Vlarindara Windrunner Activity: Active to the extreme? (Average 10 posts daily on my other site) Why: Vlar's been RP'd on another board as being Beta of a pack - but I feel that with her mothering personality..as well as the need to protect those she 'guards' over.. she would make a good candidate to become Alpha. As for why me personally? I enjoy rping.. and think that my activity could be a bit of a helper in being a pack leader. Sample RP: In the weeks since she had discovered an abandoned opening inside a tree hollowed by disease..or fire.. she couldn't tell which Vlarindara had done her best to make sure that the lands she had staked as her own were well marked and patrolled. The trees surrounding her home were turning bright colors, leaving leaves to fall and cover the once clear forest floor, not that she minded - the ground covering muffled the sound of her large feet landing on the ground. With plumed tail held high over her back, the white female came once more to a tree she had chosen for her lands and rose to her hind legs claws biting into the wood to leave visible signs. Once she was sure it was obvious that there was *SOMEONE* here guarding the lands.. someone tall enough to put her claw marks well above those that a smaller wolf might'nt be able to reach, she rubbed her side against the tree from shoulder to rump. Then proceeded to settle near the tree to relieve herself before trotting off to the next location on her pathway of marking her lands. If a wolf decided to venture into her domain..there was no way they could possibly be unaware that there was at least one someone guarding this place. It was on one of her stops that she saw a furred form lying on the ground, bringing the ivory pelted female to a stop before she crouched quietly and watched, observing the prone, furred being. Still a distance away from the smaller wolf, Vlarindara moved around, keeping the wind at her face so the other wolf wouldn't smell her...not yet. His scents were mingled with other animals from paths he crossed over..He appeared...thin, his coat dusty from wherever he happened to have traveled.. The wolf appeared to be sleeping...but she couldn't be sure in these times... His coat was matted and dirtied...it appeared whoever it was had little time to care for the way they looked. His scent was wholly unfamiliar to the white female, something she didn't recognize, a wolf she knew nothing about. A wolf that apparently blatantly ignored her scent markers and had entered *HER* Territory unannounced! The soft snarl working its way from her throat was stiffled and bitten off before it could make itself known, her legs and shoulders stiffening. This wolf...would learn better than to trespass on *HER* domain without permission! The female felt her muscles tense, the hackles on her back and shoulders rising with the silent growl, the instinctive need to be larger..bigger than her possible opponent. With no pack, Vlarindara had no backup.. but he was a bit smaller than her.. or she. The gender of the wolf didn't matter.. What *DID* matter was it was inside HER territory lines...And that...was NOT a smart move. The large female emerged from where she'd been spying in the underbrush, the low growl growing into a blood curdling snarl, lips pulling back to display her ivory fangs. The plumed tail more reminiscent of a Great Pyrenees than the stiffer ones of wolves curled tightly over her back, looking almost like a pompom. The two triangle ears were arced forward, eyes, ears and fangs centered on her quarry. If that warning wasn't enough for the wolf.. the growled and snarled words of the female may very well have been. "If you wish to keep your hide.. I suggest you. Leave." The last word was punctuated with a snapping of her jaws, the growling snarl never stopping..her footsteps never ceasing to bring her closer to the wolf. Her muscles were tense, legs stiff..but ready to charge this trespasser if they didn't think smart and leave. If the trespasser asked to join her.. she wasn't sure what she would do - if she would allow him ...or her admittance into her lands - she needed more wolves to help secure the bit of forest that she had picked out.. but...she couldn't exactly turn him or her away either. Gentle, loving heart warred with her need to protect what was hers.. her need to make sure her livelihood was secured. So many things troubling through the females head.. but her priority right now, was to see to this wolfs admittance...or departure from her lands.

Your Name: Wulfie89 Activity Level: I am on every day, most times more then once. Why you should get the spot: I'm on a lot and I have rp'd as all of my wolves many times. Quite a few had positions of power so I think I will be able to handle it. Sample RP: Water sprayed out from the thick brown-red and white fur as the average sized red wolf shook off after a quick bath in the river. The fire that had blazed through his home lands had nearly ended him. He had been stuck in his den when the fire came upon his old packs territory. If he hadn't woken right when the fire began to cover his den entrance and he had braved leaping through the flames, he would have become a wolf barbeque. Sadly, the flames had singed most all of his fur and left him with a few less then pleasant burn scars. Time had passed though and his fur had started to return, the scars could still be seen.
With a quick stretch, the red wolf started to trot off in search of food and/or more wolves. He wanted a family, a pack, someone to travel with. Despite being born to parents that had been lone wolves, Shinuku hated being alone. With ears perked and nose to the winds, the red wolf ran through the lands, untiring, ignoring his hunger, constantly searching. He couldn't have been the only wolf that survived that fire could he?
Suddenly, his nose caught a scent, his ears caught noise. Something was out there. The red wolf stopped in his tracks and crouched low. Hunger had won over loneliness right now. There were pray animals out there. The red wolf began to stalk towards the sounds of the small critters until they came into site. A small group of rabbits. It wasn't much but it was better then nothing.
He froze again to test the wind and once he realized the wind was perfect, he began to inch his way closer. Closer and closer the wolf came to his pray. He licked his lips a little before pouncing. There was a bit of a chase involved but that bothered him not as he was faster and easily caught them. In just a little bit he finished his quickly caught little meal and moved to a small stream to get a drink.
"Now that my bellies a bit fuller.....back to the search..." He murmured to himself before starting to jog off again, his tail in the air and his ears perked high. With that simple form of what had been life a few moments ago, the red wolf's spirits were lifted. If those little prey animals survived the fire, there must be more wolves around!

Your Name: Haptic
Activity Level: Was once very high, it should be that way once more (:
Why you should get the spot: Because I'm active and awesome promise to stay that way. I'll lead a darker pack, which adds a bit of diversity to the site; and I'm experienced in leading a pack and keeping it and it's members relatively active. Sample RP: Tempest growled, he was in a very bad mood, and anything that stood in the lumbering beast's way would get a smack with a paw or teeth in their throat. He was angry, oh far beyond that! His hatred for human beings was at an all time high, and his pack had fallen to ruin. The idiots had spread all over, and he was left picking up pieces of absolutely nothing. A loner again, the male couldn't be more upset. Ordered chaos was a good thing, chaos was exciting, but this? This was an annoyance that couldn't be fixed no matter what he did. For now, the male settled on finding his partner in crime, and the female that had gotten so very close to being his mate. Moonlight and Kasadya, were the closest things that this vindictive terror would ever have to kinship; somehow they had wormed themselves close enough to said male that he thought about them even when he didn't have to. Sure, the thoughts weren't always kind or even respectful, but they were his, and goddamnit if the fire had killed them the nearest village would have hell to pay from Tempest himself. He didn't even care if he went fucking mad like the last alpha did, as long as he could slaughter the two legged, pale, fleshy, imbecilic, pack destroying monsters that he hated more than any sort of heat or passion that could come from the sun itself.
Goddamn, everything was in tatters.
And here he was, meandering around like a lost pup, because what the hell else could he do? His minions had scattered, the prey was long gone, and Tempest was left without any stability but himself. And even Tempest knew that he wasn't quite well in the head. His thoughts were dark, swirling, and often dreadfully sinister, mixed with a humorous sarcasm that showed though his jowls whenever he opened his mouth to speak. Nothing about him was level, he was impossible to guess at, to fully understand. Tempest knew this, and didn't expect anyone to really get him. All he fucking wanted were for others to adhere him. To know that he was a lupine of power, whether he was an alpha or not. Now that he was free of responsibility, he was left to ponder, where the hell would he take his life now? Would he go down a road of massacre and destruction? That was always interesting. Blood and screams of pain never became old, and Tempest could satisfy his craving for action by tearing the life away from unexpecting victims. But that would grow old and tired out, as well as tiring, unless he became creative with his killings...
There was also the path of chaos and order, which he had been on before life stripped it away from him. He could find the members of his old pack and create something more. Something efficient and something entirely his own. It would be quite the task, to recreate a slowly growing empire, but Tempest had no doubts that he could do it. Confidence wasn't something that the male was lacking in, the arrogant bastard was just that. An arrogant bastard. Either way, he would need to locate a few pawns now wouldn't he? For causing trouble alone was so very droll. With this in mind, Tempest raised his head to the sky and howled, his baritone voice teeming with anger and frustration; but poured through the sky with a placate calmness that showed that he was still in control of himself; for now anyways. It would depend on whoever showed up whether things stayed that way.

Alright, since it doesn't seem like anyone else is gonna post there's no point in continuing the wait.
8) You three are the winners. Please post back here with the second code in my initial post. The pack's name will be the name of the board, and the territory description will be the description on the pack's board. You will have mod powers over your pack's board, and over the Character's board. This will allow you to keep an eye on your pack ranks, and keep them updated. You will also have the ability to move your pack's old threads to the archives, as well as remove them from the archives and back to the board.
You may make your own ranks and rules for your pack. Use whatever ranking system you like. Just make sure that you explain the terms for each rank and what that position means.

Pack's Name: Scarred Memories Pack's Description: Scarred Memories is a Pack much like the old Cian used to be. They side with themselves and see no need to get into others' business. They don't hate the humans but they don't like them either. Much like the old Cian pack, Scarred Memories is the perfect balance of anger/hate and kindness/gentleness. Shinuku Arashi, the alpha, is a calm quiet wolf who just wants to build up a family of wolves he believes he can trust. He will not allow anyone in whom he does not believe that he can trust. If there are any remaining wolves who were once part of Cian, this pack would be the one for them. Shinuku would readily give them a home. Location: 12,a; 11,a; 12,b; 11,b Territory: Plentiful pray in all seasons from the smallest of rabbits to the largest of elk and deer. Being near the mountains, cave space is plentiful and with the lake and river nearby the water is plentiful as well.

Pack's Name: Manisk Mordare Pack's Description: A vengeful pack that sticks to it's roots and is pitted against human beings. But things are different now than they were in Raefarn. Without the Karn in existence any longer, they don't have an enemy pack, but show no mercy to anyone. Loners on their lands will be prosecuted, and punishment is given without any consideration in mind. Ruthless, you've got to be merciless if you are to survive within the Mordare. Tempest leads his pack on his whims, but has a knack for keeping a smooth order to things that makes everything so very simple. Listen to higher ranks or face the punishment. Do your job or come to him and complain -- and see if you can walk away afterward. Loyalty is rewarded! The pack may not be close enough to be called a family, but those that are loyal to Manisk Mordare are protected and treated with respect. They are the wolves that the new recruits can aspire to be; given the first pickings when it comes to hunting and denning areas, as well as serving a purpose to Tempest and the decisions that he makes. The alpha is a madman, but he does have his pack in mind because he can get nowhere without his minions and they have to order without him. Ranks are fought for, or given away by Tempest himself. Jobs are taken seriously; and when one runs out of things to do they are to find something else to do because laziness won't be tolerated. Location: K,16; L,16; K,17; L,17 Territory: Manisk Mordare is located in the depths of a secluded forest near the mountains. The trees here are surprisingly tall; but often times the area is quiet. Covered in a fog that varies in density, being ambushed here is something every wolf that trespasses should come prepared for. Prey flourishes during the spring and summer, but becomes more scarce in other seasons. In winter, the area becomes brown and lifeless, the only movement coming from the wolves that thrive there and the fog that rolls in blankets the area.

Pack's Name: Green Hollow Pack's Description: Predominantly a 'good' aligned pack, the wolves of Green Hollow choose not to indulge in the 'darker' desires of their species. They will hunt, fight amongst themselves or the other packs, but simple maliciousness is not allowed within the ranks. They might be 'aligned to good' but the wolves are still wolves and their territory is guarded as viciously as one might expect. Location: G8, G9, H8, H9 Territory: Settled in the lush forests of Torn, Vlarindara has claimed a hollowed tree for the pack den - the opening within the tree large enough to house four adult wolves easily. Where the den has been claimed lies within a 'clearing' of trees deep within the forests. The clearing is simply a sparser gathering of the tall red and cedarwood trees that make up the lands. Food is plentiful in these woods - larger prey like deer and the occasional wandering moose can be found in these woods. Other creatures are just as plentiful - but beware..with the more open areas between the trees, larger creatures such as black, brown and grizzly bears can be found traversing the land. As the lands are settled close enough to the river that the wolves might get a drink when they require it, the woods are hardly without both water or game for the pack. Leader: img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/Katsumadarkness/VlarEyes-1.pngLands: img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/Katsumadarkness/Greenhollow.png**Squares/Desc might change if I figure out what the brown bits are on the map.
