Iska liked to spend his time in the mountains. The air here was refreshing, and it was unlikely to meet other wolves. Trusting others was a lethal mistake. He knew that better than anyone else. No matter who he started to trust, he was betrayed sooner or later. But even if he won't trust anyone, he can still be betrayed. The difference is, that he will be able to predict that. To prevent betrayal, he had to avoid others completely. But why should he do that? It's better to make everyone suffer like he did. Gain their trust, but also use them. Get rid of them when they are no longer needed. And, in the end, become someone who can't be betrayed. Iska didn't realize the insanity of his plan. He also forgot why he was betrayed for the first time. He forgot that no one can avoid betrayal. But perhaps with his gift, his eyes, his intuition, whatever it was, he could achieve that. However, every plan needed a start. He can't do anything without a bunch of stupid followers. And for that, a pack is needed. Starting a new one would take too much time, it will be better to take over an existing one. He was thinking which one to choose when he felt another wolf nearby. If this wolf is a member of a pack... then his problem is solved. Instead of deciding, he will let luck and fortune choose for him. Silently, he went to greet the stranger.

A black and white brute looked over the range. He was sent here on an exploration mission. He was to survey the area and report back. He sniffed the air as there was another wolf in his presense. He turned to the brute.
"hello there. I didn't realize anyone lived here....sorry for the intrusion...my name is Shu. May I ask the name of the wolf to which I speak to kind sir." he sat down and wagged his tail a bit. He wasn't threatened by this wolf and would try to be friendly. Shu could defend himself if the need arised.
HE smiled his kind smile and cocked his head to the side. The first thing to notice about this wolf was his interesting eyes. Shu had seen eyes like that before. He tried no to stare so he looked down. The last thing he needed to get into was a fight or trouble.
He smiled wider. He didn't think he would meet any other wolves here, let alone a lone male wolf who couldn't make a mouse feel threatened. He held back his laughter but only just so. This wolf gave off a crazy vibe. Shu could see that every part of the wolf was crazy, mental and physical. This was bound to be an interesting run in with a living character. He smiled at the way things could unfold, ranging from peaceful means or a violent gory end for the wolf opposite of him.

Iska stared at the other wolf. It seemed that he wasn't looking for a fight, but Iska knew that no one can be trusted. He needs to make sure to keep an eye on him all the time. "Live here...? No, my home is further away than you will ever be. Or, should I say, was. My name is Iska. I've came here in order to find a pack to... join. It would seem that you can help me, am I right?Iska watched Shu carefully. The black and white wolf noticed his eyes, of course, but didn't seem surprised. In some of the lands he traveled trough others called him a monster or demon. Perhaps they were right. Well, if he gains this wolf's trust everything will be fine. "I see you noticed my eyes. Because of them, others called me jester sometimes... or demon. The world is a big place after all, isn't it? You don't seem to be completely usual, either."Now Iska awaited Shu's reply. Everything should go smoothly. When he wanted, he could be friendly. Or weak. It's easier to trust weak ones. But now, he will be just friendly.

"a monster....as far as I know you are the opposite. As for myself....I am a monster, cursed with a fur that makes me an easy target. As for joining a pack....you eyes tell me different. You do not wish to join, you wish to take over a pack and make the rest your mindless followers. To gain trust with me , you must give me your own trust. To start you can be honest with your intentions."
He looked at the wolf wither unusual eyes. He would not put up with a wolf who he couldn't trust. His ears were set back in a relax manner, though he was completely alert of his surroundings. He waited for the wolfs response as he stay looking at the wolf. He was not about to turn his back on this particular wolf....iska. His name was unusual as his eyes but how was he to judge another wolf my what they looked like or what their name might be.
He smiled again. If this turned into a fight, it would be very interesting. Shu was sure he could win against the brute. Unfortunately, you could never be sure in a fight. Shu wasn't really the fighting type but he could hold his own against any opponent who crossed his path if need be.
His eyes never strayed from the wolf's. Iska was smart , shu had to give him that...but shu wasn't that stupid. He could tell if someone was lying to him.

Iska listened to Shu's answer. It was interesting. Give him his trust? What a pathetic fool. Nevertheless, this wolf had a nose for lies. To be a perfect liar, you need to believe in what you are saying. Iska could control his mind and desires for a short time, he should try it now. He cleaned his mind, and buried his plans deep inside him. He has to be perfect. One moment of distraction, and he may fail. He looked at Shu with a sad look. If this won't work, he will have to try with another pack. It looked like Shu was ready to fight. A fool, indeed. Only fools fight for something so insignificant. "Your self esteem is quite low... and I don't know where did you get such idea. I just want to find a new home... home that I lost when... when my sister died. It looks like you are another one of these who misjudge me because of my eyes..." Here, he almost started to cry. It should be enough to convince him that he just wants to join.

"iska...you can't hide your lying eyes. Why don't you tell ne the truth? That would be nice to hear from your mouth. The only truths to stumble out are your name and what you have been called by others. Those who don't trust will live a lonely life. I am loyal to those who I trust and those who trust me. Start with the truth my lost aquaintence."
he looked At thé wolf with sad eyes. This Wolf had béen hurt. Hé sighed and wished th Wolf would listen to reason. Hé sighed again. Thé Wolf was not going to listen to him. "iska.....please listen to reason. If you keep this charade you Will fall to your own destructive ways. You know deep deep in tour heart that you want to berge kind gentle trusting Wolf you once were." hé tried to reason with thé Wolf. Ge wished hé would get through to thé brute.
Hé waited for thé Wolfs response. Hé wanted to take thé Wolf back but Nina probably kick his furry butt when ge got back with thé Wolf instead of a meal.
Shu gazed into thé others unusual eye with his own emerald Green ones. Hé pleaded With his eyes for iska to listen to his words. Hé didnt want to give up on this Wolf. Hé hoped iska would understand him. Hé wanted to help iska but iska had to trust him first.

So that's how it is, eh? He is one of these who thought they can help everyone they meet. Really, he should take care of himself first. Too bad that such talent is being wasted with someone with so miserable personality. But he weren't perfect. He started to assume that the truth is lies. It's interesting, how he got the opposite effect. Anyway, trying to join this pack would be pointless now. This guy would be to careful. Iska grinned. At least he will let him know that he isn't as smart as he thinks his. Now, his voice was sharp and cold. "You assume wrong. I lost my sister and home. And I never were kind. Trusting, yes. But not kind or gentle. What there is in it for you? Do you enjoy others' pain so much? Perhaps someday you will know...when you are betrayed. What you speak of is nonsense...Zane, is that right?"Interesting. Iska had enough time for his gift to work. Now he knew much about this wolf. Although it rarely told him anything, his gift certainly was an amazing power. "It looks like you failed considerably. Well, too bad, my turn now" "What? Not now...!" "Sorry, but that's our agreement, remember? Now, be a good kid and let me have fun."
Now he should confuse Shu completely. This will be fun! This part of Iska cared nothing of conquering plans, He only wanted to live, and have fun. The fact that others often had to pay for his fun was of no importance. "Ah, forget about it. I'm just kidding!" His tone was a lot lighter now, his face had a cheerish look. "You really are naive, aren't you?" Iska laughed. "I guess you now know why I've been called the jester."

"Iska.....are you ok? You seem...different. Also what are you talking about? My name is Shu, not Zane, Remember?" he asked hoping the wolf was alright. Everything about the wolf seemed to change. One minute he looked like he was going to kill shu and the next the looked like the would lick his paws for him.
He stepped back a few feet and sat down not taking his eyes off of the wolf. Something was off and Shu didn't like it at all. He sighed and tried not to blink. Shu wanted to run, every nerve, brain cell, and instinct told him to run but for some reason...He felt like he needed to stay with the wolf and try to bring him back.
He sighed again and wished he knew what was wrong. He needed to see if he could help, though more then likely though he wouldn't find out and probably would have more battle scars. He wanted to help but he was as useless as ever and couldn't do anything to stop it.
"Iska....what caused this sudden change in behavior...before it seemed like you could and were going to rip my head off but now....You kind of just seem just kinda wierd." He sighed and wished again that can help. what would he be able to do? He was useless anyway, he couldn't help but try though. He wanted to be the one to help the poor wolf, he had been hurt after all.
