trying to grip reality (to join)

Pain shot through Taske’s leg. Taske stumbled across the planes of the Cian Pack, even thought she did not know it. She was hysterical with infection that was coming from her open gash in her leg.

Taske was merely trotting through this planes (but not in Cian territory) when a bison came up behind her and charged her. She was not stupid she was not hunting bison but she was hunting, and the bison most likely thought her a threat and charged up behind her.

Before the infection came upon her Taske was fine and only limped a little, but now she could not tell what was real and what was a dream. She was drifting in and out of reality as she stumbled through the pack lands.

Taske’s body gave way as she reached a small bush and fell into it. Her grip on reality broke and Taske drifted into a dream.

Taske dreamed of the faithful day that she was condemned to a life of a loner. A flash of hoofs crossed her vision and a cry of “TASKE!” from a young sibling. Then Pain, lots of pain for a 6 month old pup burned her left eye as a older white wolf crossed her vision.

Ebony pup trotted with pride as she went along the borders. Head held high along with tail, legs moving in long strides. Her silver grey orbs darted about. If she was to take up the rank of a scout then she best get to doing on watching the borders. Though she was young Rajani was brave, abit foolish, and headstrong. She had snuck away from the den, which often times now she was caught by her mother. It had been some time since she had been able to escape to be on her own. If Jarl wasn't going to be here and mentor her, well she would teach herself..somehow or another. Sure her mother had been when she was busy, which meant she got to go on hunts to watch the pack take down bison. Though she had wanted to join in on the hunts she knew those bison would kill her with one step. So the only hunts she actually joined were for small deer and rabbits.

Rajani shook her head, now was not the time to think of hunting or food. Her eyes drifted upwards for those large birds, those eagles that could snatch her away. Thankfully though she had not seen or heard any, and even if they tried Rajani would give them one hell of a fight. She might know nothing about fighting but didn't mean she didn't have the spirit for it. Eyes were cast back down only to widen at the figure of another. At once paws froze and hackles raised. Silently she stood there downwind of the other and watched. Nose twitched as it shifted through the scent to pick out the others. Sickness greeted her nose making her cringe. Rajani might know nothing sometimes but common sense said this stranger was no threat and in need of help.

Cautiously she padded forwards and gave a low bark."Stranger...your on Cian territory...do..do you need help?" Her voice was soft yet was guarded. Standing there she looked at the other's leg seeing it swollen and looking painful.

Gawain had to take care of territory exploring all by himself. It was necessary to remember the shape of terrain in every place, know where the prey can be found, and all these things. Before, he had his epsilons who reported to him. But now he was the lead epsilon, and the only epsilon. It was so damn annoying, but it was responsibility to ensure that hunting goes well. "Well"...others would probably say "perfect". But Gawain was a wolf that expected much from others, and even more from himself.

While Gawain was carefully studying his surrounding, he noticed Riot's scent in the air. And a stranger's scent with it. This was bad. If anything would happen to Riot...he preferred not to think about it. Forgetting about his work, he hurried towards scent's origin. Soon he noticed Riot and another female...dead? No, only unconscious. He sighed, and walked closer to Riot. Perhaps lecturing her was a wasted effort, but he will try anyway.

"Riot...you escaped from the den again? Well then, allow me to ask you a question. Why are rules created? Think well before saying anything. And then...we will think what to do with this... stranger... until Nina arrives."

Personally, Gawain didn't care if a wolf that entered a pack's territory without even being able to stand on her legs would live... but it wasn't for him to decide.

Taske stirred, She heard voices. ‘Shit’ Taske swore at herself for her stupidity and weakness. She understood that she was sick but she should have known that she was in a packs territory so she could turn a stumble her way back the way she came…

Since the ebony wolf had been passed out for some time, she had gained some control of her body again. Taske opened her amber eyes to see a black pup looking at her and a gray and brown wolf talking to her sternly.

Taske muttered something about having to go, and tried to get on her feet. She lifted her body slowly and almost feel again. Taske looked back, the leg was swollen two times the normal size. She cursed herself again, she should have smell that bison coming. She sighed to herself. And slowly pup her weight on her injured paw. She felt her head go light and tuck a deep breath.

“Well thank you for waking me, I am sorry that I’m in your lands I’ll leave now…” At that Taske turned to make her way out of the pack land that she should not be in. But as she went to take a steep her bad leg gave out and she fell to her bully again. “S-sorry” ‘Dammit!’ Why was she so weak when she was so at the mercy of this pack.

Riot jumped slightly as Gawain appeared next to her. Silver grey eyes looked up to him steadily."Yes i did..and i rather you didn't." She replied evenly. Getting up and neared the injured female, ignoring Gawain now. She was closer enough that if she stuck her neck out her nose could touch the other. She was just about to that when the female woke up.

At once Riot pulled herself back nearly falling back on her haunch's to roll onto her back. Eyes widened in surprise and jaws parted to speak. But the female was up and trying to go away. Eyes drifted to Gawain."We need mamma.." She said softly before trotting over to the female's side."Don't worry, the Alphena will help you. You need help otherwise you'll never be able to use that leg...please let Cian pack help you." Her voice was soft and she sounded older than what she truly was. Looking back at Gawain she waited, expecting him to howl for Nina.
