Well you can dig me up a grave And try and stick me in the ground Well you can tie me to the bed And try and beat me half to death But you can never keep me down Well you can stick me in a hole And you can pray all day for rain You can shoot me in the leg Just to try to make me beg And you can leave me there for days
And I'll stay alive Just to follow you home White-tipped paws padded silently though the dark territory. The walker was confident, completely calm, cool, and collected. Why? His brother and father were dead. He had nothing left to fear, and could finally return from his hideout in the dark desolate mountains, finally return home. His darkened frame moved with ease, following his pace, he drifted about as is nothing more then a whisp of wind, or flowing water. His crooked tail waved behind him. Not held high, but not quite even with his spine either, and though crooked in the middle, it waved with perfect ease. Tendons and ligaments stretched easily, bones made nary a sound.
Golden-brown eyes pierced the darkness, watching for life within. So far, nothing moved. Not even prey. Not that he was particularly hungry at the moment, but ah, one never knew. His cheeks puffed in a smile that was more sneer then grin. Saliva dripped off his ivory fangs, and onto his lower muzzle. Yes, finally, he had returned. He was back in his home-land, and ready for the fun and games to begin. The fur along his spine rose with joy.
He hadn't announced his presence. He doubted the other wolves would notice anyway. He had been in an out of the territory many times without the pack members ever noticing his presence. It helped that he had rolled in Raij's den on one occasion, losing the smell of the wild pine, and taking on that of his brother. But still, he had hoped they would notice, hoped they would worry of invasion...
And yet, he had still made his escape, unseen and unscathed. It puzzled him, that a pack of fighting brutes could be so incredibly stupid. He snorted as he walked, laughing in almost the only way he knew how. He had been there, at his brother's death, and finally known, finally, that it would be time to return home. His shattered family meant nothing to him, as he knew, he meant nothing to them. What did they care of him? His own father didn't even believe he was his son.
Sneer stretched wider across the brute's maw, taking on the features now of a silent snarl. That old fool had gotten what he deserved. In fact, being eaten by his own son was probably too darn good for him. Cafall hoped the carcass was still there. He would enjoy pissing on it later.
No one had come yet, and Cafall entertained second thoughts. Maybe this pack was too dumb. Did he really want to associate with such idiots? Here he was, prancing through the middle of their territory, and not a word from any of them. The brute snorted again. This was nearly enough to make him gag. But still, he wasn't interested in ruling a pack, and living on his own didn't suit his needs. He thrived on chaos and disorder, and how could one possibly cause that, when there was no one apaw? Exactly, it was impossibly. Even if you believed the bit about a butterfly causing hurricanes, it simply wasn’t possible to keep himself entertained on his own. Besides, this land was his, his own, his birthright. And while he did not desire to control them, and have to deal with annoying pack-mates —ugh! How the brute detested other wolves, whiney bastards, no he definitely didn’t give two shits about them-- he did feel he was at least entitled to live upon it. So the dark brute continued on, hoping he would eventually come across a Rafaern wolf somewhere in this land, while lullabies of Armageddon played merry tunes of horror in his brain.
The prodigal son had returned.

Kain, who tended to explore the territory, noticed a smell he didn't recognize within the territory. He frowned deeply and started to follow the scent, his nose to the ground. He noticed that the scent was coming from the dens area and growled lowly. How had he come to miss this scent before?! Now that he had noticed it, he realized that it was everywhere!
He growled lowly as he entered the den sight and slowed his movements. He didn't know who this wolf was and knew he was to be cautious. He inched closer and closer until the brute came within his sights.
Once he saw the brute he froze and crouched down slightly as his neon eyes watched the brute moved around. He was right to make his movements cautious. This wolf was so much bigger then him, which was normal. He looked a bit like Raijan had. He was curious as to who this brute was, but he didn't want to get closer until he knew what this brute was capable of.
He moved himself to a hidden crevice between a couple of rocks where he was hidden from sight yet he could still see the unknown wolf and continue to watch him.

Tempest licked his canines, for it seemed that Rafaern had company. The lupine lurked through the territory, his territory, and went to meet the stranger half way. How far into this pack would he make it before he was attacked he wondered. But there was something eerily similar about this brute; and the lime eyed alpha didn't like it. Not at all. Eyes hardened and ears raised as he listened for the intruder. This stranger would have some explaining to do.
It seemed that Kain had scented him too, and was lurking in the distance somewhere. Good, his lead gamma might be ordered to fight him off if things came to it. His spitfire pack mate was always rather interesting, and he had to admit that among all thoughts that he could do, fighting truly was his specialty. Head lowered and paws slowed in pace as he approached the other, watching him a moment. No doubt he could feel two pairs of eyes on him, he was a large wolf, a perceptive one he hoped. Because if he wasn't he was in for a big surprise.
"Ah, look at that. It seems the family never ceases to show up here in these lands." He glared, everything, yet nothing about this brute was reminiscence of the bastard he had taken down. Granted, he had no proof of his statement just yet, but would shortly. Because being denied answers wasn't something Tempest tolerated. "Tell me what the hell you want, or I'll run you out of here." He said lightly, so very lightly; as if he was simply having a charming conversation with this stranger. This stranger that smelled so similar to the brute he had killed; and even the brute that the dead ex leader had devoured before hand.

Ah, so finally they had come to greet them. How good of them. Cafall scented the black one first. He had seen the brute once or twice during his escapades in stalking Raijan. A sneer crept across his muzzle as he spoke aloud—
“You might as well come out, I know you’re there. You smell so bad I’m surprised you don’t have a flock of ravens following you about looking for dinner.”
Cafall sighed, and sat back upon his haunches, waiting for another to appear. He was hoping the pack’s previous beta, Tempest, and now current Alpha, would be along soon. He would rather get this whole business over with and not have to risk being attacked at every step he took. All these little nuances of tradition annoyed him so.
It appeared however, that the wolves were beginning to realize there was an intruder in their territory. How sad, that it had taken them so long to rally even two members. If a wolf had come here intending real harm the pack might very well be torn apart. Cafall snorted as Tempest appeared.
"Ah, look at that. It seems the family never ceases to show up here in these lands."
Cafall sneered at Tempest, and strode towards him. His legs were long, and his movements were fluid, and somewhat feminine. It was clear from his motions alone that this brute wasn’t much more then a slimy, manipulative worm.
“Ah, Tempest, I’ve been waiting for you. Pity it took so long, I was beginning to get bored.”
"Tell me what the hell you want, or I'll run you out of here."
“What do I want? Nothing more then to sit at your paws and worship you.” He slinked in close to whisper in Tempest’s ear. “I saw what you did to that bastard. It was beautiful.”
Cafall retreated before Tempest would have had time to snap at an ear or two, and grinned wryly.
“I mean your pack or position no harm Tempest dear, merely wish to return to my home soil now that all the filth has been purged.” He paused, and licked his chops, withholding himself from asking if their father’s carcass was still available for further humiliation. It wasn’t prudent to let loose such ideas when questing entrance into a pack.
“But yes, you guess right. My name is Cafall, and I am kin to Raijan. These are my family’s grounds, and I do believe I’ve a right to live in them.”
He stretched his forepaws out, lowering the front of his body to the ground, in a mimic of the ‘play’ gesture.
“Want me to swear allegiance?” he asked, smile playing about his maw. Whether he was being sarcastic and taunting Tempest, or sincere, only he himself knew.
OOC: I will tell you all right now, Cafall is a Freak. XD

Kain growled lowly at what the brute had said to him and moved out from within his hiding spot, his teeth bared in a silent snarl, "You'd better be careful of who you speak too." He snarled even though this wolf smelled and looked like their previous two alphas.
He smirked when Tempest wondered onto the scene however, and flicked his tail as he listened to the words passed between the two. So this brute didn't want alpha? Interesting. Kain thought that seeing as his father and brother both ruled here, he would be next. He flicked his tail a bit in thought as he watched the two big brutes interact. He was curious to see what the new alpha would do to this brute.
OOC: Sorry...sort....muse is low.

Moonlight noticed the stranger's smell quite some time ago. It was similar to Raijan's, yet slightly different. He should check it out, stranger so deep in their territory was something unacceptable. But Moonlight didn't want an open confrontation. Instead he preferred to sneak and watch him from the downwind. After all, it was better to know something about someone while they still know nothing of you.
Careful approach took him some time. He was on good ground to stay unnoticed but still was careful. Accidents happen, after all. Tempest and Kain were already here. Moonlight listened as they started to talk. So, this wolf's name is Cafall, and he indeed is Raijan's brother. What a stubborn family, will they never cease to exist? Strange enough, Cafall seemed to want to join, but wasn't interested in any higher rank. Moonlight didn't trust him already, he was way too confident. If Tempest lets him join, he will have to keep an eye on him. But for now, he continued to watch them with his now more yellow than blue eyes.

A white ball of fluff laid within her den sleeping. It was one place she loved the most, the scent of the earth wrapped around her, masking her own scent. To be there and seem to live as one with the earth was a secret joy of her's. Hell no would she ever tell anyone of this, part of her even denied the joy she had at being at peace with roots and dirt. Maybe though she enjoyed it only because it was the only thing to offer her shelter, always remaining there and waiting for her. Often she had awaken to have loads of dirt on her cheek from rubbed the den floor in affection in her slumber.
Though sadly this time she would not be able to rest. The sounds of paw steps, growling and voices made her dark blue orbs flicker open. In a sleepy daze she laid there hoping they would go away and she could go back to sleep. To her annoyance though they did not, and she was grumpy, had no patience. With a grumble and paws dragging she slowly emerged from the depths of her den. White pelt was mixed with brown dirt, making her pelt shine less that it would have cleaned.
With anger burning in her eyes she looked up to see a strange wolf. Then her eyes saw the others. In conclusion it was this stranger that had ruined her slumber. Narrowing her eyes she snarled."Could you be more of an idiotic moron?! Do you not see these are the dens? And you rest your life standing here trying to weasel and suck up to the Alpha." She let out a harsh short laugh."I swear you have to be the stupidest thing in this damned world." She growled fiercely, she wanted so bad to sink her teeth into him for disturbing her sleep. But did not, with a huff she turned her back at him and began to kick dirt and small rocks at him.
Satisfied she angerly marched over to Kain and sat next to him. she didn't look at him, but hoped he wouldn't move away from her. And she wondered if they would be please with her treating the stranger lower than the den from their dens."I wonder if the dirt will cover up that reeking scent of his..." she grumbled lowly.

And he couldn't simply be an idiotiv powerhouse like his brethren. No, he thought he was witty, shit spewing from his mouth faster than Tempest felt like paying attention to. But he was interesting, and the alpha wouldn't snap his neck for that simple fact alone. No doubt, Kain already resented him; he didn't see these two getting along. 'He wants nothing but to live here?' The brute's eyes narrowed ever so slightly, disbelief and curiosity a strange mixture on the alpha's features. What were his ulterior motives? The lumbering brute frowned, scowling even when he slipped closer and admitted he had been present when he killed Raijan.
"You snake, how long have you been slipping in and out of my lands?" He barked, angry, oh yes he was very and it showed. Bristled fur and narrowed eyes, he couldn't stand this skinny male with a horrible fascination with tip toeing on lines that weren't supposed to crossed. But at the same time, he couldn't help but smirk. He wasn't stupid, he couldn't be. Spying on this loathesome pack was quite impressive. But he was a coward, only showing his face once his family had been all but wiped out of the area.
He gave the male a good hard look, almost as if deciding on what the hell he would do with him. No placement in this pack he would receive easily, but it seemed he wasn't after that either. But he was distracted a moment, turning away from this stranger toward his beta and the pup. Astrae, why, his little light in the darkness. All sarcasm aside, her view on things was interesting and he had to try to keep the amusement off of his face. When she started kicking things he frowned, eyes lidding in an unamused fashion. Such a child in her actions for one that seemed to think like an adult.
Turning back toward Cafall he sighed, a slight sneer on his maw as he spit out his words. "I think I liked your brother better." He snorted, eyes rolling as he calmed slightly. Damn it, this male fit in a little too well now that he thought about it. And with Buzz gone a bit of abnormal with in this pack of wolf eating human hating bastards would be welcome. Well, almost welcome. "Well since everyone seems to be here, welcome our new omega, Cafall." He grinned, and although it was small, the devilish look might as well have been slapped onto his kissers rather widely. Lime eyes met Cafall's own, wondering just how he would react to his new status. Unless he wanted to be maul'd by this pack and then eaten there wasn't much he could do to retaliate.
"I hope Rafaern starts feeling like home to you soon." He said lowly, chuckling. An omega shouldn't last a day here, but Cafall? Oh the slippery bastard would be fine, not to mention make this rather interesting. "Maybe you'll prove yourself usefull to me later." It was a challenge, and one that Tempest hoped wouldn't be ignored lest he change his mind and run this cheeky male out of here. ((This is a recipe for disaster... :D ))

OOC: You shouldn't have done that, Hap. XD Well you can dig me up a grave And try and stick me in the ground Well you can tie me to the bed And try and beat me half to death But you can never keep me down Well you can stick me in a hole And you can pray all day for rain You can shoot me in the leg Just to try to make me beg And you can leave me there for days
And I'll stay alive Just to follow you home
Lips danced across maw as he watched Kain finally remove himself from his pathetic little hiding spot. Cafall barely withheld a chuckle at the wolf's threat. He obviously wasn't aware of to whom he was speaking. Cafall make act like a weaking, but in no way was he one. The brute was sure his kills outnumbered those of the wolves here, because, unlike them, for Cafall, killing wasn't a choice. It was a necessity.
Taking his eyes off Tempest for a moment, he glanced around, sniffing wairly. He couldn't smell the other brute, but he knew from his observations, that it wouldn't take long for the pack to assemble. If they chose to stay hidden, well, it was their loss then. He snorted mirthfully, lips regaining the sneer that so often played across them.
Cafall was, however, slightly taken aback at the white ball of fluff that had appeared out of one of the dens and was yapping rather loudly up at him. It took his brain a moment to adjust, and comprehend. Creepy crazed Cafall had apparently disturbed artless apprenticed Astraea's nap. Not being a fan of whiners, the brackish brute nearly snorted in her face.
"Awww, did I disturb your nap-time, little pup?" his vocals dripped, as he sent her a sadistic smile. The brute however, did nothing as she began, in her immaturity, to kick things at him. How pathetic. Cafall once again considered whether this pack's reputation was worth suffering in order to live here. Probably not. He heaved a sigh of one who has suffered much, and turned mockingly pleading eyes on Tempest. He could not understand how these brutes dealt with it all. It nearly made him gag. He turned back to the Rafaern Alpha.
There was, of course, disbelief plain on his face. Cafall should have known the idiots wouldn't believe the truth, even when it smacked them in the face. Oh well, kniving, calamitous Cafall would just have to deal with the consequences of their idiocy.
"You snake, how long have you been slipping in and out of my lands?"
"Oh for quite a long time now, Tempest dear." he purred, eyes glinting to the Alpha's face. "I've been here since before they were even your lands. Before they were even my brother's, the disgusting sack of shit." Cafall's broken tail twitched at his mention of his brethren, but otherwise, he did not move. That was, until Tempest turned his back on Cafall. He didn't give a rusty possum fart about who these wolves preferred, that wasn't what bothered him. What frustrated Cafall to no end though, was the deliberate snub on the Alpha's part. It mocked him, and taunted that little voice in his brain, waking It from Its sleep. Cafall growled, low and deadly. He was supposed to have another month, have more time. But this bastard had re-woken the Voice, and now he would have to deal with the consequences before he was a danger to the pack. Not that he cared about any of this worthless trash, they were, after all, only pawns. But it would be hard to live in one's pack lands if one was indeed driven from them. And of that, Cafall had no doubt. Which is why he made sure, so careful sure, that he never got caught.
"Well since everyone seems to be here, welcome our new omega, Cafall."
Cafall's blood boiled. If there had been room in his veins to bubble, it surely would have. How dare this brute stick him in such a useless role, in his own homelands. The bastard should be grateful that he hadn't demanded them upon entrance. Lips left their near-constant smirk, and instead danced into a silent snarl. He was pissed, and would not disguise it. However, he did not wish to fight with Tempest, not here, not surrounded. For in this local, it was sure to be only an un-fair fight, which Cafall would not risk. He rather liked living, thank you very much. Instead, he laughed, a hollow dead thing, tainted with the hint of a threat.
"Oh you ignorant fool, Tempest. I, like any other here, bring to the table a varied skill set, and you would be a very poor Alpha indeed not to make me of some use to you. If you haven't seen for yourself, I am an impeccable scout, able to vanish at will, and sneak about your stupid pack-lands without notice." He smirked, willing to risk it all on one final piece. "Maybe I should go help sister dear? Their pack is growing quickly, and it wont be long before they overrun you bilge rats and drive you into the abyss." It was a bluff of course, Cafall wouldn't ally himself with Karn if it was the only way to save his pathetic little life, but he was desperate to get into Rafaern, and determined to have something better then the pack's rug upon which to shit.
