Carsten The mountains had been where she had sought refuge in her earlier months. They had sustained the wolf well but left her open for attack. The humans, they scurried everywhere. She was a match for any wolf but failed when pitted against a group of humans and their technology. She almost became decoration and in that close call realized why a pack was needed. She preferred to be with others but at the time she was a bit torn. She sympathized with Karn because of their like for humans. She also previously considered giving them a chance. Rafaeran was far too harsh in her opinion. Now however, she sided with Rafaern. Humans were cruel creatures. Forget all that 'not all humans are bad' stuff. No, they were all alike, Carsten was sure of this now. They had captured her, stuck her in a sack and planned to skin her....that doesn't sound very "nice".If she ever saw another human she would definitely seethe. Attacking was another thing, she quite disliked the taste of human blood. She was musing over this sort of thing when the atmosphere got darker. The shadow of Rafearan territory was upon her. It gave her a chill, the ferocity of this pack was well known to her. However, she felt that kinda had to be admired. She liked it. She was now at the base of the mountain staring out at the eerie expanse of the territory. It reminded her of a cemetery but she knew that soon it would be alive with wolves. She tilted her head toward the sky and let loose her howl. It was feminine but had a strong tone about it. She called to the leader of these lands and hoped that he wouldn't snap at her.

Auds twitched. Nearby brute that wasn't the alpha heard the call. Still, he wanted to play, oh did he so want to play. And here, was a playmate, calling for someone to be kind enough to show up and give them entrance into the pack. Of course, Cafall couldn't do that. No. But here was a chance all the same, with an outsider. Since his packmates didn't seem to care for him, maybe this new one would. Not that he really cared anyway. Cafall was used to being alone. As that was usually where his sniviling, manipulative behavior got him. But still, it did bring him oh so much fun in the process. Not that he was generally used to feeling anything, but fun was one of the few definites that registered, albeit dimly, in his cranium. He slunk out of the bushes where he had been hiding, pondering his luck so far. Sure, he had gained admittance here, but it wasn't very welcoming. The brute pouted slightly. And here he thought he'd been all sweet about it to. Nothing but respectful to Tempest, the great Alpha of Rafaern, who had so kindly dispatched his hated brother for him. Jowels ground together as he picked up his lithe, flowing, slinking stride, moves seeming almost feminine in nature. He moved through the undergrowth, heading for the stranger, disturbing ne're a twig. Maybe this stranger would be a chance to impress the big, thick, stupid, ugly brutes in this pack. Get a bit more respect. He snorted. How dare they even suggest placing him in omega. Really. The idea rolled in his stomach sourly and made him wince a little. Well, he would show them. Cafall was not a plaything to piss off, a rag doll to throw away. He wasn't some pansy that killed because it was cool. No, his called was much, much stronger then any of these brutes here had ever known. He saw ahead the femme, though he was still shaded by the slight undergrowth. Slinking around, he came from a direction in which she was not looking, so that, when she did notice him, it would appear as if he had just appeared there, out of no where. One in place, he readied his vocals, and spoke. "Hello there." he pured, crooked tail swaying gently, though not in friendlyness. "What brings you, m'dear, to the land of sunshine and daisies?"

Carsten Carsten began to pace as she often did when butterflies started to eat away at her courage. It gave her something else to focus on besides the agonizing wait. What was only minutes seemed like hours to the femme. She considered just hightailing it back up the mountain and forgetting this but they'd probably hunt her down for wasting their time. Were these wolves really the brutes they were told to be. Maybe give them a chance because pretty soon she hoped to be grouped in with that lot. SUCK IT UP! that rang out clear like a bell and so the she-wolf did. She stopped pacing and faced the unknown. Her chest was puffed out and her yellow eyes determined but not for long because time set in and staying in such a posture was laborious. This pack would offer her what she wanted: protection. Companionship may or may not come with the deal but that wasn't her aim. She wanted to be part of a faction and she shared the hatred of humans with this one. She wanted to pace again, she really wanted to but resolved not to. She sat down and placed her brown tail over her black mitts. Waiting was simply waiting and she would wait until--- "eep!" came a startled squeak complements of her girlish habits. There was a wolf among here and she hadn't even noticed. She faced the brute now and realized he was rather large but then again a lot of things were big to her. What a creepy voice but at least he wasn't baring his teeth. She swallowed and stood straighter. "My name is Carsten" she addressed him in a firm yet pleasant voice. "and I wish to join the Rafaeren ranks"

The black brute was doing his usual walk around the territory. Because recently everything was quite calm, he had nothing to do except planning his brother's death. It was something that required a lot of planning, but doing it day after day was exaggerating. Because of this, he was quite happy when he heard a howl. A female who wants to join, eh? Astraea will be soooo happy. At least it will give him a break from doing nothing.
As he drew closer he noticed Cafall speaking to the female. So, their newest addition to the pack was already giving his smooth talk to her. Moonlight wondered if she will be stupid enough to fall for it. He didn't allow Cafall to notice him before, but he had enough hiding. He came closer to them.
"Well, well, another wolf who wants to join. Seems like we are quite popular as of late. I see you are having a good time with our Omega, Cafall. I'm Moonlight, the Beta. Now, can you give me a good reason why we should let you join instead of having fun killing you?"
Of course, he didn't plan to fight with her or anything like that. He just liked to see what new members are made of. It is obvious that she can't join if she starts to run around and scream, though.

Carsten Her yellow gaze remained on the wolf. It seemed he was going to say something until another wolf revealed himself. Now he was large. Carsten gazed up at him with large eyes and headed his every word. So she had been greeted by an Omega, hopefully that wasn't grounds for any bad blood. She backed up and the two males were in front of her. This just keeps getting better and better she thought A heightened sense of nervousness crept upon her. What if the answer to the beta's question wasn't what he was looking for. She could put up a fight but not for long. She gulped, what to do what to do....well do something! She let out a shaky sigh. She bowed her head in the humblest of posses. She wouldn't dare make eye contact because she doubted she could keep it. She raised her head and stood with greater quality. She was on the fritz inside and they probably knew but she could put on a front. "My name is Carsten she informed the beta. " And I don't have any real justification for my trespassing. I share the passionate hatred for humans as do the wolves of Rafaern and feel this is where I belong....i definitely don't belong with those Karn dogs" that last part was draped with venom. Karn wolves, you might as well just put a collar on them with the name skippy. How pathetic. Humans they deserved whatever trouble they got and she knew that Rafaern would be the ones dishing it. After her statement she again bowed her head and curled her tail, showing submission to the wolves she was at the marcy of.

Cafall licked his lips, enjoying the squeal that enamated from her lips. Oh yes, this would be a fun one. He slinked towards her, brushing along her pelt with his own, as he walked by her side, circling, and the coming up on her other side. His tail whipped in front of her face as he stepped away, turned, and faced her again, smirk planted firmly upon his labrums. "Well, sister, it looks like you come to the right place. For this is the pack lands of Rafaern. Unfortunately. Too bad I can do anything for you." He shrugged, and stretched. "Not my job though. Sure some busybodied idiot will be along before you lose your nerve again." He grinned. It had been obvious this femme was uncomfortable here, and had continous doubts. Cafall was observant, and couldn't possibly resist a dig. "Oh look," he said, turning towards Moony as he heard the paw steps. "Here's one now." His voice dragged, every inch that of someone who was pained and long-suffering. It was the tone of someone errily intelligent having to entertain idiots for the evening. "Well, well, another wolf who wants to join. Seems like we are quite popular as of late. I see you are having a good time with our Omega, Cafall. I'm Moonlight, the Beta. Now, can you give me a good reason why we should let you join instead of having fun killing you?"Cafall's lips lifted in a silent snarl at the term omega. It still stunk, like week old crap. Not something he enjoyed. No matter, he'd be out of that all soon enough. Especially with the plan he was concocting. He grinned back at the beta, before turning errie golden brown eyes on the femme. "Don't chase her off too soon, Moony, she might be the only tail you ever get. If you treat her right." He expected an attack at that, and so bounced on his paws, ready at a moment's notice, to dodge out of the way. He just might let up if they let him out of Omega. Until then, though, he was gonna play with them all he wanted. He sneered, just out of reach of both of them. Keh, wolves. What disgustingly pathetic creatures. Due to Cafall's....condition, he could not see himself as the same species. They were something different, dumber, lower down. He watched with curiousity, the femme's reaction to Moony. She seemed to submit to him at first, but the gathered her courage. Cafall was bored. He glanced around, looking for -something- to harass, other then the two nimwits here. There wasn't anything. With a dramatic sigh, he turned back to the conversation. At least he could find some vague interest in what Moony might say.

"Don't chase her off too soon, Moony, she might be the only tail you ever get. If you treat her right."
Moonlight looked at Cafall coldly. It looked like he was angry because of being Omega. Of course, who wouldn't? But it was obvious what reaction he expected. Too bad.
"Sure, insult me. Unfortunately for you, I'm not Kain to get angry over that. And, unlike him, I can make sure you will never get rid of your rank. Isn't that right, Omega?"
Now, coming back to the stranger. She seemed to be quite nervous. Of course, she thought that her life is in danger. Actually, she was more scared than Moonlight hoped for. Will she be able to survive here?
"My name is Carsten. And I don't have any real justification for my trespassing. I share the passionate hatred for humans as do the wolves of Rafaern and feel this is where I belong....i definitely don't belong with those Karn dogs"
She hates humans, she dislikes Karn, nothing out of ordinary. Quite boring in fact. How to toy with her...
Moonlight bared his teeth a little."Indeed, that isn't any justification. Unless you can be useful, hm? What can you do that would make us want you?" He sent her a look that should give her the creeps. Maybe he will have some fun until Tempest arrives.

Carsten At the things the first wolf said, were she human, she may have blushed or something like that. Her head remained lowered as she listened to their dealings. Despite all this awkwardness on her part, this character was rather funny. The reaction of the beta didn't go along with the provocation and thus the joke was ended. Omega. Awful word, awful rank and Carsten felt awful sorry for the poor sap who got that branded upon their rear. What did he do to get it in the first place she wondered. Something pretty dang awful she presumed. Either that or her was just that annoying. Whatever the case may have been Carsten had other things to worry about. Like the two male wolves, larger than she, that were staring her down. She saw the flash of the white ivory knifes of the Beta and retaliated. She was small and willing to be the underdog but with all due respect you can only push a bitch so far. Yellow hit yellow as they exchanged a gaze. His was threatening and hers was hard. She wasn't a match, compared to him she was teeny. Compared to any wolf even she was small. She would not be a push over because of her size however. If they were going to bully her fine, she would take but only because she wanted entrance into this pack. She wasn't one for revenge and would be content with never having to converse with either heathen ever again. Her yellow eyes turned to slits as she stared down the beta, a wolf twice her size. "Well you'll find that out when I join your ranks" she said in response to his question. "but try me until your boss hits the scene"she was ready for a fight if it came to one.

Cafall's boredom, as he had hoped, was not alleviated by Moony's speech. If anything it was increased. Predictable. As to his threat, Cafall only snorted, and turned away. He wasn't impressed. If worst came to worst, he could always go above the brute's head, to the Alpha himself. He was definitely not above that. For lack of anything else to do, Cafall stretched himself out on the ground, reaching out with his paws as far as they could go. He decided that he quite liked this place in which he was sitting. It was sunny, and warm. Unlike the rest of the territory he chose to reside in. Moony continued on, quite pathetically, and predictably attempting to sound bad-ass. Cafall felt the need to speak up. "Don't worry yourself, sweetheart, he wont do anything. You hate humans, you hate Karn, you'll get in here. They haven't bothered to turn down a wolf yet. I mean really," he turned a sizzling glare on the brute, "look at me." Cafall's broken tail twitched as he heard a whisper in the back of his mind. It was a voice, and wasn't at the same time. Cafall knew the time was coming, though it wasn't quite right, not just yet. The brute sighed, and climbed to his paws. "Well, all, I'd hate to leave, as its so utterly riveting here, but Moony's smell is really quite sour to my poor sensitive nose. If I see Tempest, I'll tell him you called." he said, with a wink at the femme, before trotting off, passing by Moony on the way, kicking up a bit of dirt and rock at the brute as he passed. Sure, Moony could pathetically attempt to keep him here, but then, Cafall, could also, keep fighting back.

Tempest heard the howl, but as usual wasn't the first to get there. A gathering was ore entertaining anyways; seemed Moonlight and Cafall had beat him here. The brute then made out the scent of the lupine that called for someone. A female, oh how wonderful. Astrae needed a playmate and Kasadya someone to bitch to. It was sad, but he couldn't see this submissive little wench fitting into Rafaern for anything important. The alpha sighed, lurking onto the scene with ease. "Oh Cafall, really that only makes me want to run you both out of here you lousy fool." The alpha said lowly, chuckle behind his voice. Really, was this his best attempt at getting on his goodside? He wouldn't wave his position under his nose because he didn't have to. Tempest knew it bothered the other to be omega and that was all that mattered. In truth he'd make a good enough pack member. And where most would think he was teaching the other a lesson they would be wrong because alpha really didn't give a shit.
Stay or go, Tempest wasn't complaining, he grinned at Moony before turning his attention to the newcomer. She was quite small compared to the lumbering alpha himself, but that was to be expected. Fuzzy brown fur, strong jaw, and a complete submission that he wasn't sure whether to be proud to accept or be made sick by. Eh, typical female. They couldn't all be interesting. "And why do you want to be in Rafaern, because it doesn't look like you'll last a day here from my perspective." And mine, unlike the brute beside you, is the only one that matters. Sinister voice husked, he didn't need to try to sound intimidating; simply wasn't a friendly creature. Those white teeth behind that sharp grin. He was the ringleader to this dark circus, and enjoyed every minute of it.
(( Moony's twice her size? o.O then Tempest is pretty darn huge! D: ))

Maybe planning his brother's death was better thing to do, after all. It looked like Carsten decided to fight back. In this case, he can't do anything, and his fun is over. Cafall seemed to continue his rebelious behaviour. Doesn't he realise how pathetic his tries to anger someone are? What does he want to accomplish, anyway? Moonlight will need to make him talk later. But now, he couldn't just let Cafall go, could he? Wasting time with new members wasn't exactly what he wanted to do, he'd rather be alone.
"Great Carsten, you may speak to Tempest as soon as he gets here." He didn't hide annoyance in his voice, spending time with other wolves certainly wasn't something he liked to do, after all. "As for you Cafall..."
Moonlight was interrupted by Tempest's arrival. Good for him, he could finally get out of here. And since Tempest is here, he can tell him where he is going without wasting any time.
"Ah, Tempest. Right in time. I have an errand I have to take care of... and I'll probably need to go into Karn territory. I've waited with this long enough."
He walked away. He didn't want to give them time to respond. After all, what he was going to do was extremely important. It was time to lure his brother straight into his death.

Carsten ((She's 18 inches at the shoulder which makes her maybe 24 inches tall, from ear tip to her paws. I'm not sure exactly how the two correlate to that dimension but i'm sure they're a good bit larger))Man this omega, what a sharp mouth. Probably with wit to match amongst all his weirdness. If this was to be called her home she would need to watch out for him. She knew how vulnerable and trustful she could be with those dubbed "comrade". Her ears were the only thing that followed Cafall as he slithered away. She had no idea a wolf could resemble a snake. This wolf may as well have a forked tongue. A testament of Loki's malevolent child, fenrir. The beta seemed to have other things on his mind as well. He eased off and thus did Carsten's posture. She tried to stand taller but her 24 inches really weren't anything to be afraid of at first sight. The finally another presence arrive on the scene. The alpha, finally. The sunlight made them visible and she was glad that it wasn't night. She would have been a goner for sure. So how to deal with this one? In most cases a polite submission seemed to work but not with these wolves. They thought her a punk for it. She wasn't rude or belligerent by nature but would try her best. "And why do you want to be in Rafaern, because it doesn't look like you'll last a day here from my perspective."Carsten nodded with a small laugh. "And you're looking down from the top. It really all comes down to your verdict. why do you think I'm here to join Rafaern? Could you not use every upper hand against Karn no matter how worthless said wolf may seem?"Checkmate, she felt so bad-ass, her words weren't empty though.

Well, the brute had thought he would just trot off, maybe go find himself some dinner, read a nice book (if wolves could read), kill a few things...but no. Just as he had readied himself to leave, none other then Tempest himself decided to stride in. Now Cafall did not like other wolves. He did not have friends, and really, couldn't give two shits about them. It what happens when you don't have feelings, you become apatehtic to allmost anything. However, Cafall had decided, that if he could have feelings for anything, he might just have them for Tempest. Not in a creepy, or homosexual way mind you, just in a semi-friendly way, which was, in its own right, just as disturbing, coming from Cafall. He was not a brute you wanted to befriend, and if he mentioned play-time, it was better to run as fast as possible in the other direction. But the brute was gratefull to the Alpha. Gratefull that the wolf had managed to purge his homelands of his disgusting family, and open them up again, for his own paws to tread. Even if he had been saddeled with such a disgusting rank. At least he was no longer being chased from his rightfull home. He picked up the chuckle in the Alpha's voice, and nearly grinned. Here was a wolf who was reasonable, whom he could play with, that wouldn't get all bent out of shape like the others. And one whom didn't taunt his current disgraceful pack position. Instead of slinking off into the woods, like he had so planned, he turned back, passing behind Tempest, and brushing his tail with his own as he went. "Tempest, my dear, how I missed you. I was getting so afraid you wouldn't show. This dolt over here," he said, shrugging a shoulder at Moony, " is frightfully boring." He watched as Tempest addressed the femme, striking a mock pose off to the side, pretending he was the one dishing orders. Cafall wasn't normally one for humour, but the day had him so bored, he needed some way to make things more enterataining. For himself that is. He chuckled softly, before eyeing Moony, as he made himself seem all important in his rush to get away. He sneered openly at the brute back, attention focused on the retreating statue, for a moment, ignoring everything else around him. He had, for so long now, wanted to move up from feeding the Dark Passenger game animals...maybe this Moony would be just the chance he needed to try something a little...different.
